This week we have been paying respect to all those who have lost their lives in conflict. In particular we have focused on The Great War, with Armistice Day being 100 years ago on Sunday. In particular we have thought about the resilience and endeavour of the soldiers in the trenches fighting in terrible conditions. After a special assembly pupils have taken part in activities including visits to an exhibition about the boy soldiers of Mansfield and the trenches in Sherwood Pines and heard the story of other boy soldiers. Some of the poppies made by pupils were made into a wreath that will be laid at a memorial service on Sunday.
