Students at the Beech Academy, which is part of The Evolve Trust, were rewarded for their hard work with a bumper haul of qualifications this year including good grades in the new, tougher GCSEs. Our shared vision is to open minds, creating opportunities for all to believe in themselves, achieve their potential and develop the skills needed to succeed and enjoy life, and these results demonstrate our continued progress and belief in this.
Mr O’Malley, Headteacher of The Beech Academy said “We are extremely proud of the results students have achieved this year. It is very pleasing to see so many of them achieve good outcomes given their individual needs. Students who are leaving us are all going on to new opportunities and we are confident that the fundamental skills and qualifications they have gained with us will allow them to progress further in the future.”
James Morley, a student in year 11, has achieved 5+ level 1 qualifications, including English, Maths and Biology GCSEs. All of these have been achieved whilst undergoing treatment, including lengthy hospital stays, throughout the academic year. James, his family and the Academy are all thrilled with his success.
