We are extremely pleased to be able to inform you that when Ofsted visited in May 2017 we were awarded the grade of ‘Good’ overall, and we achieved the highest grade of ‘Outstanding’ in two areas – Leadership and Management, and Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare (PDW). Ofsted noted in their report that ‘Middle leaders are highly capable. They have an exceptional understanding of the school’s strengths and areas of development’ and ‘the multi-academy trust have very effectively worked with leaders to support the schools improvement’, which shows how Leaders at all levels, including the excellent input and support from The Evolve Trust, have helped to significantly improve the quality of education that students receive.
The report comments on how one student during a meeting with inspectors said ‘You accept people for what they are; it doesn’t matter if you are different; we are all human’. The report also makes reference to how ‘Pupils’ behaviour is a key strength of the school. Pupils show great respect towards adults and to one another’ and that they are ‘well prepared for their next stage of education, training or employment’.
We would like to thank everyone that is involved with The Beech Academy for all their hard work and effort in making this outcome possible.
The full report can be downloaded from the link below and will appear on the Ofsted site from Monday.
