Year 10 have been learning in science about the treatment of water before it is piped to our homes. At the end of the lesson we watched a video about a young girl called Violet who lives in Zambia. Violet has to walk a two-mile journey three times a day to collect water from a well. Students tried carrying a bucket of water from one side of the school grounds to the other and found it extremely tiring. Our students agreed that they were very fortunate that their water is delivered to them in a pipe, and fit to drink.
