In their assembly this morning our students discovered for themselves that it is better to work together than on your own. Even when a task seems impossible or too hard, quite often by working together it can be completed. Students were asked to feed themselves a sweet using a spoon on a stick and discovered that it was too hard to do alone. When students worked together they were able to feed each other and an impossible task was made easy.
Famous deaf and blind American activist Helen Keller famously said: “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”. Working together opens many doors and opportunities for everyone, including our students, so we actively encourage students to learn this skill.
