Water rockets

Year 7 and 8 students have been developing their science enquiry skills today.  They had to find the best amount of water to put in a water rocket to get the most thrust and the highest height.  Students worked out that too much water made the rocket too heavy so it didn’t fly far, and too little water meant the rocket didn’t have enough thrust to go travel for more than a few metres.  Fortunately we had a good day for the weather and cooperation between students was excellent.  Additional photographs can be found on our Facebook page.
