What happens on those mysterious INSET days?

Inset days (inservice training days) are a mystery to many parents and carers who wonder what happens when the school is closed to students.  This time is used to provide essential training to staff and update their skills.  This Wednesday we had a twilight session in which we were visited by autism expert Ruth Fidler who came in to talk to the staff about PDA, which is a relatively recently recognised part of the autism spectrum.

Parents who want to know about PDA can find out more on the PDA website which has lots of useful information.
